Captive-Bred Singapore Angelfish

$89.00

The Singapore angelfish (Chaetodontoplus  mesoleucus) is a gorgeous species similar in shape and behavior to butterflyfish. This is perhaps the most common medium-size angelfish available to marine aquarists.  Unfortunately, many wild-collected specimens don’t do well in tanks and fail to feed successfully or acclimate to captivity. Our captive-bred specimens are hardy and easy to feed, making them an ideal beginner fish.

Each specimen comes with a Certificate of Identity and 30 day guarantee.

Due to variation within species, your angelfish may not look identical to the image above.

Captive bred Singapore Angels

5/5
I learned about Poma Labs while watching a video of MACNA 2017. After checking out their web site and reading about the company, I decided to order a Singapore Angel. Well, it ended up being 3 Singapore Angels. The transaction was very easy and the fish arrived well packaged and in good shape. A company's reputation is built on how they treat you after they have your money. Poma Labs should be in good shape. Matt Wittenrich, who oversees the breeding program contacted me to see how the fish were doing on multiple occasions. He has offered advice and help which is greatly appreciated. These guys currently reside in a 20 gallon tank so they can grow a bit before being introduced to my 120 gallon mixed reef. They are doing very well and they eat prepared foods voraciously. Captive breeding of Marine fish is the future of our hobby. If you're considering adding angelfish to your tank, you should consider captive bred. They will be healthier and will adapt to aquarium life much easier. If Poma Labs ever captive breed an Imperator Angel I'll snag one of those too.
